For Version, selecting 1.0 will ensure compatibility with V1.7 of the Modelon FMI Toolbox. In an FMI Toolbox, Simulink models can be exported as Model Exchange. †¢FMI Toolbox also supports improved handling of FMU blocks that are supported by Simulink Coder/Real-Time Workshop usually stored in a Simulink library. 3.3.4 FMU export from Simulink A Simulink prototype can be pass on as an FMU and introduced in an FMI-compliant device such as OPTIMICA Studio by SimulationX, Dymola or Modelon. This section describes how a Simulink model can be exported as an FMU. Code from a Simulink model is generated by Simulink Coder/Real-Time Workshop and is then wrapped in an FMU for Model Exchange 1.0 or Co-Simulation 1.0. There are various steps required to export an FMU for Model Exchange from Simulink. The first step is usually to select the build target. This is usually done by opening the Configuration Parameters dialog. Then go to the Real-Time Workshop/Code Generation tab depending on the MATLAB version an individual is using at that particular time. From Browse button, select the System target file. The final step that takes place before exportation can take place is that of selecting fmu_me1.tlc from the browser dialog for exporting the FMU as Model Exchange or fmu_cs1.tlc for Co-Simulation, when either of the two is selected, click OK to export. This means in general that the same limitations of Simulink Coder ´s native S-function target, rtwsfcn is applied to the FMU target. Complex input and output ports are not supported. There is no corresponding data type in the FMI standard.Another limitation of FMU is that Enumeration data types are not supported for example the Enumerated Constant block is not supported. Discrete variables (variability attribute set to discrete) may change the value at instants other than during initialization or at event instants. Support for precompiled S-functions is only supported for export of Model Exchange FMUs and not co- simulation. Co-simulation The main aim of co-simulation is to come up with a user-friendly interface type for connecting/joining simulation tools in its environs. The data exchanged in this models subsystems is limited to distinct communication targets. The communication interval among two sub-systems is controlled autonomously by respective subsystem solvers. The master algorithm is usually responsible for controlling the exchange of data among subsystems and the harmonization of complete simulation slaves (solvers). In this case, basic master algorithms and complex ones are supported. It is imperative nonetheless to note that the master algorithm is not a part of the FMI standard. Dymola 2013 and later supports export of prototypes (slaves) with built-in numerical slaves according to the FMI for Co-simulation specification. The SUNDIALS suite of numerical slaves (version 2.4.0) is used in the co-simulation FMUs. In Dymola 2013 and later, the translateModelFMU command will produce an FMU that supports both the FMI for Model Exchange requisite and the FMI for Co-Simulation slaves interface where by all responsibilities will be present in the DLL. Model simulation is also supported in Simulink. It is, however, important to note that when Simulink FMU block co-simulation FMUs with modelDescription attribute canRunAsynchronuously is set to true, they are usually not supported. How far would you go to get that story or to snap that front page picture? How far is too far? The issue of privacy has taken a new toll, where do you draw the line? The news media (Toronto Star, CTV & CBC) are all networks that I believe still respect that value of privacy with the youth act not addressing there name or picture, or when it comes to getting the story it doesn’t seem that there exploiting people for the benefit of the story, on the other hand a lot of the debate and pressure is coming from the entertainment aspect of the media where a celebrity losses all privacy. My argument is that do we celebrities for the over exploitation on themselves or do we blame the tabloids/paparazzi. Is the way they go about in finding their stories different is there difference between the tabloids (shorten in length and full with pretty pictures ) and news media (an in debit look with blah black and white pictures). It’s not about the story it’s the story of how you got the story. I must come out and say I’m one of those millions of people that buy those juicy headlines reading â€Å"ANGIE AND BRAD DIVORCE â€Å"is KATE HAVING AN AFFAIR?†. It’s a guilty pleasure that I’m really starting to double think about what the truth is and what’s there to make money In then end its non ethical for us to be all involved in ones life. I know we all say its part of there job but when there own private life becomes front page and there whole family secrets brought on to paper for all to read, where do we draw the line when do we say enough is enough I love to know Kates favorite colour , but not when and where she’s having this affair I believe it ruins a family it’s a hard time someone is going through and we all can sit point fingers and laugh, but what happens when the table is turned on to you. You have the privacy to deal with the situation, and that what people need to understand yeah we enjoy the funny made up stories we can all read and laugh about, but serious life changing family situations should be kept private and dealt with within the family. I believe a person shouldn’t be exploited in a during a hard time just to make a dollar, and that’s why I can say I don’t buy any of those magazines anymore, bu t I do tend to pick them up time to time just to skim read.

Playing the Enemy After reading playing the enemy, I must say I was actually pretty Jealous of those fortunate enough to get to meet and leave an Impression on the great man Nelson Mandela. The story was truly Inspirational and after reading was very glad I chose this book to read. I knew that Nelson Mandela was a great man and I knew only part of his story. I knew that he was the first black president that South Africa had seen, I also knew that he was jailed for man years (27 to be exact) and was the reason that the South African Apartheid was ended.I was ignorant to the journey it took to get there and the millions of hearts he won over in his lifetime. It amazed me how throughout Mandela's life he was able to win over the hearts of almost everyone he spoke to. From what most may consider the lowest point of one's life, being locked away in prison, away from your family for 27 years, he was able to use this time to not only mellow down and forgive those who imprisoned him, but he also ended up befriending many of them. That to me spoke greatness upon his character.I recall reading about when he first started learning about the game of cubby, he did so all with the sole purpose of becoming close with one of his new prison wards. When I first read this part In the story I thought there Is no way this could work†¦ A big bad white South African man who obviously has many pre]delude against Mandela and his people, but somehow he was able to pull it off, whenever given the chance, Mandela would discuss rugby with him and eventually it paid off, he soon was living the life, he was given a hot plate†¦ A freaking.The fact that a prisoner was able to pull that off was quite amazing. But it never stopped there. He was later moved out of his small little cell and was put into a little house. Then it went even farther when he was taken on drives around town and I think the peak of his prison privileges came when Mandela was allowed to go freely for walks. Throu ghout the book, Mandela causes people to fall for his charm and I know exactly how he was able to accomplish this. It Is all explained In this quote by himself†¦ â€Å"If you talk too man In a language he understands, that goes to his head.If you talk to him In his language, that goes to his heart. † In many cases this quote could be taken eternally. In many cases people would feel more comfortable with the future leader because he would actually speak to them in their native tongue which, to the South African Whites who were not his biggest supporters, was Afrikaans. Ironically he was able to learn this skill with all the time he had in prison. Other examples how this quote held true throughout the story was that he learned the â€Å"language† of rugby. Learning to understand and like rugby early on while in prison really ended up helping a lot in the long run.I totally agree that when you find a common interest amongst enemies it is easier to unite and that is e xactly what he did when he used the sport of rugby to unite a nation. The sport was more Important than I first presumed It to be. At first I believed the game to Just be a game. Unlike Mandela I did not see the correlation between rugby and unification If the races, especially when black South Africans would always root for whatever team there country was playing. I think another great thing I got from this book was that he was not only a great him they could tell there was something about him.He Just had this way of neglecting with all types of people and a recurring theme amongst these interactions was that he had this smile. This smile that Just won over the world in my opinion. This warm gesture spoke a lot to me, how does one go through all he did and still come out smiling. I believe many people saw this and this was part why they trusted him as a leader. He was a symbol of hope to many and though not all will agree, I believe his actions say so much more than any media cover age can. Mandela did something no one else would probably of been able to achieve.To say this book as a great read would be an understatement. This was one of the most inspirational stories I have read and I am glad that I read this. I went to this little project not really expecting to take anything from it, instead I came out with a new perspective of not just this great man, but also on the word I live and the situations I deal with in my own life. This really made any problem I have dealt with Just feel insignificant but I mean that in a good way. Now I feel more encouraged to turn my trials and tribulations into strength much as my new idol Nelson Mandela did.
