When discussing the meaning of gender identity, each and every person has a different view and perception. Most times, these views are instilled upon them throughout their childhood whether they are fully aware of it or not. As a result, some children feel forced to conform to the stereotypical gender roles and identities defined by society. For me, however, that was never a problem. The many experiences I faced throughout my childhood played a significant and defining role in the shaping of my gender identity. As a young child my favorite toys were dolls and stuffed animals, and quite often my parents found me setting up tea parties or playing house. I am not sure if that was because those are the thing I chose to do as a child, or if it was a result of the things I was surrounded by and heard while growing up, although it was probably a combination of both. I distinctly remember the day my mom asked me whether I wanted to take ballet or soccer. I adamantly told her that I wanted to take ballet because soccer was for boys. She told me that both boys and girls played soccer, however, that didn’t change my mind. I was a â€Å"girlie girl,† and I don’t believe anything anyone could have done would have changed that. The Big Bang model postulates that about 15 to 20 billion years ago,the universe violently exploded into being, in an event called the BigBang. Before the Big Bang, all of the matter and radiation of our presentuniverse were packed together in the primeval fireballan extremely hotdense state from which the universe rapidly expanded.1 The Big Bang wasthe start of time and space. The matter and radiation of that early stagerapidly expanded and cooled. Several million years later, it condensedinto galaxies. The universe has continued to expand, and the galaxies havecontinued moving away from each other ever since. Today the universe isstill expanding, as astronomers have observed. The Steady State model says that the universe does not evolve orchange in time. There was no beginning in the past, nor will there bechange in the future. This model assumes the perfect cosmologicalprinciple. This principle says that the universe is the same everywhere onthe large scale, at all times.2 It maintains the same average density ofThere are observational evidences found that can prove the Big Bangmodel is more reasonable than the Steady State model. First, the redshiftsof distant galaxies. Redshift is a Doppler effect which states that if agalaxy is moving away, the spectral line of that galaxy observed will havea shift to the red end. The faster the galaxy moves, the more shift it has. If the galaxy is moving closer, the spectral line will show a blue shift. If the galaxy is not moving, there is no shift at all. However, asastronomers observed, the more distance a galaxy is located from Earth, themore redshift it shows on the spectrum. This means the further a galaxy is,the faster it moves. Therefore, the universe is expanding, and the Big Bangmodel seems more reasonable than the Steady State model. The second observational evidence is the radiation produced by the BigBang. A description of this concept that is, I think, better still is epithet (a versatile word meaning, in this case, â€Å"characterization†), and that’s the one I use here and elsewhere on this site. An epithet in which, for purposes of clarification or edification, a person’s name is preceded by a concise description of that person is often derided as a coarse conceit of journalistic writing, but it appears quite often in books and other forms of publication as well, and it serves a useful purpose, eliminating the need to follow a person’s name with a more distracting (and often more extensive) parenthetical description. Unfortunately, too many people form the epithet-name construction incorrectly, as in this sentence: â€Å"The essay was written by humanities professor, Paul A. Robinson.† This is one of the most egregious mechanical errors a writer can make; few other such infelicities distinguish the amateur from the professional, and it is one of life’s mysteries how such an obvious error has come to be so persistent as well as pervasive. The restrictive/nonrestrictive distinction in appositives should be observed when referring to inanimate objects as well. A common error is to insert punctuation between the appositives in â€Å"Have you read the book, The Bestseller?† If a generic reference to the book has already been made, this sentence is correct; the title is an elaboration. The tests out of there that I will do is the muscular endurance and muscular strength tests. The principles of training that I might use in the six weeks are:- Specificity Which means Ill be working on specific areas. Especially areas that I am weak at. Overload This means I do more than my body can do with ease and increase the intensity of the exercise. Reversibility (if injured or ill for a long period of time) If I am out of training for a certain period of time. My bodies final result in training declines. To prevent this from occurring you need to keep training otherwise you may have reversibility. Here are some Methods of training which I could use in my six week programme. Continuous (for aerobic system). In the continuous training you walk, jog, cycle or swim at a steady pace, without rest. To overload, increase the time, distance, speed or frequency. The advantages of this method of training is its great for aerobic fitness. You dont need special equipment and its good for burning off body fat. The disadvantages of this method of training is it can be boring and it doesnt improve spring speed, which is needed for a lot of sports. It is more suited for long distance runners. The other method of training is Fartlek training. This is mainly for sprinters because of the change of speed. You can use it in many ways for example on a bike, running and skiing. Overload by increasing times, or the difficulty of the terrain. You could run up hills or threw sand or mud. The advantages of Fartlek training is good for a lot of sports because of the change of speed. You can change the mix of fast and slow work to suit your sport. The changes of pace makes it intense. The disadvantages are the coaches cant tell how hard an athlete is training. You could argue that the athlete should try his/her hardest to get more out of their training. An its easy to skip the tough buts so you need a lot of determination. Interval training In the interval training you do fast and then slow work. A good example of this is running. You can do a 30 meter sprint and then a 30 second jog. This is good for running and swimming. Each repetition of the pattern is called a rep. You must do a set of these before you can rest. This is also done in weights. You do reps in weights and you do different speeds (push the weight up fast and bring it down slow). You overload the interval training by doing more reps or sets or both or you could set less time on slow work and resting. In weights you usually increase the weight but do less reps. The advantages of this is you can mix both anaerobic and anaerobic work. It is also easy to see when you are giving up. The disadvantages are its hard t keep going and you need lots of determination. Also if you overload you increase the chances of injury because of the sudden changes. The training equipment that I will be using on my training is a weight bar with weights on the end. The bar itself ways about 10kg so whatever weights I put on the end I have to add 10kg because of the bar. I usually do my weight training with my partner Hollie. Shes a 18 year old girl and is about my level in all training that we do. I will use her as my motivation. For my sprint training I will be using a sports hall which has a lot of grip on it. She learns what to fear, like ghosts, and having a child without being married and also learned to stand up to what she feared or believed in. The story of the aunt is the first talk story we learn about in this book. The aunt who had a child before marriage was treated as a outcast. This teaches the girl not just to avoid getting pregnant before marriage, but to avoid embarrassing the whole family. This story though, grows weaker for the girl as she rebel at what her mother wants her to be. She tries to be the best she can be and looks for her mother’s praise but all she got was â€Å"you’re too ugly† or â€Å"you talk like a duck†. She starts to question these stories as these talk stories become very confusing in the life of the girl. The second talk story was clearly still in the mind of the girl when she grew up. The story was about Fa Mu Lan who joined the army as a girl to rise up to be a hero when female weren’t allowed in the army. This is good story that really matched up to what the girl represented when she grew up. Fa Mu Lan went against the rules of being a woman in China and triumphed to be one of the greatest heroes of China. The girl decided to be like Fa Mu Lan and break tradition by rebelling against her mother. Ghosts seems to be very important in the story of this book. Ghosts plays a major part because of the way they are used as to isolate the children or to make them stand up against a foe.

Throughout his speech Wiesel repeats the word indifference quite often. An anaphora is the repetition of the same word or group of words in the beginning of successive clauses. â€Å"To be indifferent to that suffering is what makes the human inhuman. Indifference, after all, is more dangerous than anger and hatred.† Expresses the true emotional depth of the Holocaust by creating a mental picture of one having gone through pain and torture and have no emotion. By speaking with the appropriate pauses and tone, Wiesel’s audience felt what he was trying to convey. The display of pathos in his speech grasps the reader with the vast emotions and personal descriptions of his torment and others demise. â€Å"You fight it. You denounce it. You disarm it.†, is the rebel like feelings the prisoners continuously expressed. Finally ethos deals with credibility. Wiesel not only lived during the Holocaust, he survived it. He fought alongside many other Jews for their survival. He gives detail on and about his friends and family stationed at the camp with him. Wiesel goes in depth with the horrid memories he and many others endured. The Holocaust was like Hell on earth. During this era millions of Jews died for their beliefs. Wiesel has relived his experience multiple times in his book Night and his speech The Perils of Indifference. Hernando De Soto in his book; The Mystery of Capital, studies the effect of capitalism in the west and tries to analyse why such a strategy is so successful there, but fails to make an impact every other place it is being introduced, Nigeria inclusive. Capitalism entails among other things foreign investments, stable currencies, transparent banking practices, free trade and also privatisation of state owned industries. Capital is a force that raises the productivity of labour and creates the wealth of nations. It is the lifeblood of the capitalist system, the foundation of progress and the one thing that poor countries of the world fail to produce. Nigeria is a typical example of a country with vast potential that has tried and failed to adopt capitalism system of governance and this is due to the fact that she has failed to produce enough capital to propel her growth. Nigeria has adapted all the western inventions that support capitalism system but has failed to set up the necessary structure required to take off the system. In the west, every asset is represented in a property document that is the visible sign of a vast hidden process that connects all these assets to the rest of the economy. Effective documentation of such asset can lead to the becoming source of capital. The west has effectively implemented such a system and as such draw capital out of the assets documented. In America for instance, mortgage on the entrepreneur’s asset is the easiest source of fund. This is due to the fact that the assets are registered and well documented, can be proven to belong to the said entrepreneur, has a documented value that covers the credit amount he needs, and can be sold off legally to recover the credit if it crystallises. The same cannot be said of Nigeria, where assets are poorly registered, documentation outdated and exchange of assets from one owner to another is largely untraceable. Trade within the country is usually focused on local buyers who usually have a long friendship with the property owner and a certain level of comfort in the transaction. Most capitalist nations suffered similar problems before finally perfecting the implementation of the capitalist system. This was as a result of no one legal system acceptable in all parts of the country that indicated the various processes that had to be used to legally acquire such lands and document the transaction. Nigeria also suffers similar problems presently as a flaw legal system is implemented and fails to check the various transactions that involve acquisition of assets that can lead to capital generation for the nation. Various sectors of the Nigerian economy have been attacked by such businesses, be it transportation, real estate etc. The conversion of such assets into capital can only be achieved when such black marketers are properly registered and guided by the law of the government. The sectors of the economy that are classified as undercapitalized is a world where ownership of assets is difficult to trace and validate, governed by no legally recognized set of rules. People own assets as security and do not have the required know how to convert such assets into capital for their businesses. Generate surplus value Every country requires capital, as that is the part of the country that initiates surplus production and increases productivity of the nation. The process is setup not to create capital, but to protect the ownership of such property. The west for example creates such wealth from the formal property system which has over the years been streamlined to a credible system, guided by the rule of the government and registered and recognised by the said government. Adam Smith states that the division of labour and subsequent exchange of products in the market was the source of increasing productivity. This was made possible by capital which is the stock of assets accumulated for productive purposes. This accumulated resource was used to support specialised enterprises until they could exchange their products for other things they needed. The more the capital means more specialization and thus, the higher the society’s productivity. However, assets must be fixed and realised to become active capital and put additional production in motion. Every asset must be registered to a particular person or group of persons to be considered to be productive. This helps to confirm the existence of the said asset as well as the processes required to convert them into capital generating transactions. The introduction of a formal property system is necessary to provide the process, forms and rules that fix assets in a condition that allows the realization of such assets as active capital. These assets have to be described and organised according to their economic values. This formal property system produces as a side effect various consequences that lead to capital generation. They are: 1. Fixing the economic potential of assets: This is as a result of the proper and effective registration and description of property that help in tracking changes in ownership of such property as well as their value generating capacity. 2. Integrating dispersed information into one system: The development of a single legal system to govern the property system is a necessary control measure used in ensuring up to date records of all registered property in the government’s records. 3. Making people accountable: Registration of owners of property meant people no longer are anonymous and could be easily located. This formal system encourages people to respect title, contracts and obey the laid out laws.
